A Gamma Knife device was provided to the university hospital with the service procurement contract signed in March last year by the Rector of the University of California and the former administrators of the hospital and Mahir Manisalı, the Executive Director of the Özem Medical Company, and the established facility became operational.

The first application of this technique was applied to a patient who was being followed up for brain tümörü. Prof. Dr. Feridun Acar, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, stated that Gamma Knife is an important service for patients in Denizli and other provinces.
